From Japan to Thailand — Supporting Business Succession
Nihon M&A Center was founded in 1991 to address a pressing issue in Japan’s economy, the growing number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) closing due to a lack of successors, despite being profitable and operationally sound. Recognizing that these businesses were underserved by traditional investment banks, Chairman Yasuhiro Wakebayashi and President Suguru Miyake leveraged their networks in Japan’s accounting and financial sectors to establish a new kind of M&A platform—one specifically tailored to SMEs.
